Civerinos have excelled during the period of lockdown in Edinburgh
Civerinos have excelled during the period of lockdown and the build up to re-opening their restaurants in the city. They have completely re-invented their business model. This included the launch of their Pay it Forward Scheme for all NHS staff, delivering their famous pizzas to the hospital staff at all hours and offering half price pizza for anyone working in the hospitality industry.
At the start of lockdown, they offered school children their larger than life pizza slice to all children that are usually entitled to a free school meal. This was very well received throughout the city and shared far and wide.
Following this, they launched their awesome ‘Dough it Yourself’ pizza activity kits for the whole family to make at home. These completely took off and their pizza fans loved the opportunity to re-make their pizzas at home. From the 23rd March they shipped in total 14, 005 dough balls to 86 different towns and villages throughout the country and beyond. They also created 10 new jobs and helped save 75 jobs during this time.
The DIY Kits were a huge success with press covering it throughout the country as well as a very positive sharing social media influencer campaign which we carried out.
Below is a positive piece that Laings Jewellers in Edinburgh put together with their top picks of ‘Celebrating Local Businesses’ throughout lockdown featuring Civerinos.
